| Salmon (Salmo salar) Throughout history, the salmon has been regarded to be the angler´s favourite catch. It is rapidly increasing in the Kalix River, where Jockfall and the Ängeså- River are favourite habitats. A large number of salmons also migrate several kilometres up the Kaitum River, where the magnificent Killinge Fall constitutes the natural stop. The salmon is preferably caught with heavy spoons, wobblers, conventional salmon flies or tube flies. Photo & Copyright © Gunnar Westrin |

" The
grayling carries a message within itself, she is no whitefish, she is a grayling. To me,
the grayling as fish, represents a feminine entity. A creation so beautiful, that words
hardly might express the wonderful whims of evolution." Gunnar Westrin, excerpt from
his book " Solfisken".
